Friday April 23.....

Breakfast:
Banana 2pt
Strawberries .5 pt
1 small mandarin orange 0 pt
1/2 cup Fage Total 0 Yogurt 1 pt
1/4 cup Fiber One Cereal 0 pt
Coffee with coffeemate 1pt
Total 4.5 Points



Lunch:
Broccoli Slaw 0 pt
1Tsp Mayonnaise 1 pt
1/2 can Albacore Tuna 2.5pt
1 wedge Laughing Cow Creamy Swiss 1pt
1 Sandwich Thin 1 pt

Dinner:
I made this yummy Turkey Pot Pie!
2 servings 9.5 pts

Here's How I made it...
20 oz extra lean ground turkey
1/2 cup diced onion
1 tsp diced garlic (I use the stuff in the jar)
1 16 oz bag frozen mixed Vegetables
2 packets store brand turkey gravy mix
1 can store brand biscuits (I chose a can that had 50 calories per biscuit)

Saute onion and garlic in a skillet sprayed with no stick cooking spray until a little bit carmelized.
Add ground turkey. Then add salt, pepper, cumin, and parsley flakes to taste.

Meanwhile cook vegetables in the microwave until tender.
Make gravy according to package directions.

Spray a 9x13 pan with no stick spray and add the turkey and vegetables. Mix it all together until it's evenly mixed and then pour the gravy over it.

Roll the biscuits, one at a time, between plastic wrap until quite thin and place them on top of the turkey/vegetable mixture. I used 9 biscuits because that's what fit well in the pan.

Bake it in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes or so until the biscuits are golden brown.


I had two servings like the one pictured here for 9.5 points.



After Dinner Snack:
2 Mandarin oranges 1 pt
1/2 cup Fage Total 0 Yogurt 1 pt
Total 2 points



I had a cup of coffee with coffeemate at my mom's house in the afternoon for 1 pt.

Daily Total 22.5 points

This weekend I am going to try my hand at meal planning. I am going to try and plan my meals so that I hit my target point range better.
